Modern Psychoanalysis
Many people don't realize that psychoanalysis has continued to develop and refine its theories and effectiveness. As practiced today, it's a collaborative, interactive and intensive therapy that explores the internal sources of emotional difficulties in more depth than once weekly psychotherapy.
Psychoanalysis focuses on helping people overcome longstanding personality tendencies or self-defeating patterns that have been resistant to change. Its goal is to enhance one's capacity to be alive to as much as possible of the full spectrum of human experience. People find it brings about deep internal transformations, allowing them to live more flexible, genuine and fulfilling lives.
